Wall waterproofing solutions

Volclay Voltex membrane is used for insitu poured walls, it is placed inside the formwork of the wall and bonds with the poured concrete. If there is restricted access to the back of the wall this is often the perfect solution for boundary line construction and the membrane can even be placed to the cut earth and then the concrete wall constructed against it.

Volclay Swelltite is the only Allco membrane that can be used on masonry walls. Swelltite post applied to the wall surface lapped down over the footing and terminated just below finished ground level in most cases.

Volclay Swelltite or Voltex can be applied to Precast walls, either Swelltite post-applied onsite or Voltex pre-applied in the casting yard offering time and space restriction efficiencies.

Shotcrete is the riskiest of the wall types to waterproof because the consistency of the shotcrete application relies heavily on the knowledge and experience of the shotcrete applicator. The shotcrete is usually used in conjunction with the pile retaining structure where the membrane is applied to a layer of shotcrete (scratch coat) over the pile surface.  Next, another layer of shotcrete, with a minimum thickness of 100mm, is applied directly over the membrane, forming a sandwich to confine the membrane.

Important: for all shotcrete projects we recommend you contact your local Allco representative or email Tech@allco.co.nz
