Volclay Cetcoat®

Cement-based Crystalline Waterproofing System

Cetcoat® is a complete prepackaged and proportioned waterproofing system. Packaged in a 20 litre pail, each kit contains sufficient Cetcoat® powder and Cetcoat® mixing liquid to waterproof 9.5 square metres. No additional water or chemicals are required.

Cetcoat® is a cement-based coating which waterproofs concrete and masonry surfaces through a crystallisation process. The unique chemical composition allows Cetcoat® to react with water to create a penetrating crystalline growth within the concrete. This crystalline growth serves to densify and block the porosity of the concrete, creating an impervious waterproofing barrier. The unique chemicals in Cetcoat® continue to work long after the product is applied. In positive-side applications, the crystalline growth is forced deeper into the structure by hydrostatic pressure.

Termination Detail

For use on the above/below ground transition, especially in garden areas & stair transitions, refer to the termination details provided by Allco Waterproofing Solutions.

Applications

Cetcoat® is recommended for use on below-grade walls and slabs on either the negative- or positive-side where protection from water intrusion is required. Cetcoat® may be used to waterproof foundations, basements, tunnels, water reservoirs, sewage plants, water ranks, swimming pools and manholes. A typical application of Cetcoat® serves to provide a waterproof barrier up to 30 metres of hydrostatic pressure.

  • Packaged in convenient kits to cover 9.5 metres
  • Durable yet flexible
  • No priming required
  • Negative- or positive-side applications
  • Breathable to prevent vapour build-up
  • Brush, spray or broadcast applications
  • Requires no curing

Volclay® Seamtape

Multi-Purpose Joint Tape

Multi-Purpose Joint Tape for Waterproofing Membrane Overlap SeamsVolclay® Seamtape is a 50 mm wide by 0.64 mm thick butyl rubber tape used to seal Volclay Swelltite® Waterproofing Membrane overlap seams. Volclay® Seamtape consists of 0.50 mm of black adhesive butyl compound integrally bonded to a 0.14 mm thick high density polyethylene film

The inherent adhesive and waterproofing properties of the tape effectively seals the liner face of Swelltite® at the membrane overlaps. Seamtape provides good chemical resistance and excellent moisture barrier properties. Its outstanding conformability allows the tapr to be easily installed on irregular surface conditions.

Applications

Volclay® Seamtape is used for sealing the overlap seams of Volclay Swelltite® for both vertical and horizontal applications. It protects the seams of installed Swelltite® membrane against debris intrusion during backfill and damage from rain prior to backfilling. Additionally, Seamtape decreases the vapour or gas permeability of the seam. Seamtape may also be used to repair small tears or punctures in Swelltite's heavy geomembrane liner.
